Ambrosia of India, “the nectar of India,“ is a musical journey into the colourful and diverse soul of India and a foray through occidental culture as it is experienced and seen through the eyes of the Indian recording artist Rishavh Supriya.

Since the earliest days of childhood, Rishavh Supriya has joyfully sung and composed countless prayers and religious songs for the various saints of the Hindu culture with his father’s support.

The Indian (more precisely, Bengali) singer, musician and songwriter from Calcutta has released two long-players in cooperation with his friend and sponsor, the internationally known and revered yoga teacher and astrologer Sri Dhiranandaji. They contain musical works that range from a thousand and one nights to the heavens in terms of their imagery. Rishavh used only German prayer texts that came from the pen of his mentor Sri Dhiranandaji and connected them with traditional Indian und Bengali musical elements and instruments such as the sitar and timbale.

The albums were recorded with the assistance of international stars from the Bollywood scene, as well as friends from India. The idea and Rishavh’s vocal charisma were enough motivation for them to accompany the two creators of the songs in this project, which has also supported a Bengali children’s home.

There is no doubt that they have created a special and enchantingly beautiful music project that is unique to our latitudes.

Rishavh Supriya already began his musical career at the age of five years under the capable guidance of his father Sri Samir Kumar Chaterjee, an important druphad singer.

Rishav Supriya im StudioRishavh still has that certain something, a mysterious quality that has made him famous and popular since his childhood due to his many presentations, solo performances and albums: A charm that was soon celebrated in the top ranks of the radio competitions by All India Radio (AIR) in Central India (Ghazal and Bhajan).

One day,
a committee consisting of eight venerable Swamijis of the Ramakrishna Mission was delighted when it heard Rishav’s works. As a result, they selected him to sing the “Hindi Bhajan“ of Swami Vivekanandazu and become an international pioneer in this genre.

Rishavh
also sang and composed Virvani (Times Music), a Hindu religious album consisting of ten songs that are still very successful around the world.

Th
e diversity of his traditional performances enticed many Bengali film and Hindi musical producers such as Avijit, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Swargam and Suresh Wadkar. They were happy to work with Rishavh as a music director and playback singer.

Sri Dhiranandaji (Yogi Dhirananda) entrusted Rishavh with the responsibility of embellishing his works of Bengali poetry with melodies and setting them to music, which was a tremendous assignments.

Inspir
ed by this commission, Rishavh developed various projects such as
1. Amitrag dhara
2. Ganer Taroni
3. Songs of Eternity
4.Chirodiner gaan

and composed the Prayers, a collection of Dhirananda’s prayers in German and Bengali. He also travelled through Europe for a longer period of time as a result.

Above all,
Rishavh is currently busy with the promotion of these projects in India, Bangladesh and Europe.

Rishavh believes that is only possible for music to bring us the peace that soothes our conscious and our subconscious mind, helping us to be closer to the Almighty Lord.
